James Harrison is the managing partner of Harrison Management + Research, which he founded in 2005 to advise Portuguese smaller companies and their management teams on corporate and funding strategies. He has particular expertise in the real estate sector.

James relocated to Portugal in 1994 to be senior equity analyst at BBVA Midas, after 8 years in the City in London as a Spanish country analyst.

In 2000, he was appointed Director of Equity Research by Lisbon Brokers – Sociedade Corretora, a new independent institutional stockbroker and a member firm of both the Lisbon and Madrid Exchanges.

Over his 18 year career as an analyst, James covered real estate, industrial conglomerates, utilities and telecoms companies.

James is a member of the Portuguese Association of Financial Analysts and has a BA Honours degree in Politics from Exeter University.
